Five Blogging Myths You Should Avoid
Becoming a successful blogger is not a myth. There are innumerable bloggers for the proof. They monetize their contents and get traffics. Some of them have already become a millionaire. However, there are certain blogging myths you might have come across. Many newbies bloggers fall into the trap of myth. They are not to blame. They are oblivious to the blogging myths they should avoid.
Five Blogging Myths You Should Avoid
1. Write daily
If you are a newbie blogger, you might get hyped. We can feel your excitement. You start to write daily. No matter what, your only motivation is to write. You might not care about your readers, but just you. You jump the gun and take readers for granted. There’s no certainty that you will write the contents on regular basis. After a certain period of time, your motivation for writing dwindle. You feel frustrated and give up writing forever.
Plan your writing schedule. It doesn’t matter if you write one content weekly. You must be consistent.
2. Write lengthy and boring contents
Most newbie bloggers assume that writing lengthy contents will attract readers and get more traffics. We hate to break it up to you. It’s the exact opposite. Just like you value your time, you readers do too. They visit your website to get something meaningful. If you bore them with lengthy and boring contents, they might not visit your blog again.
3. Don’t plan. Just right
This point is valid if you want to become a better writer. However, it doesn’t do much if you want to become a better blogger. Just like you need the plan to start a business, you need the plan to write a blog post too. You need to research if you have to and plan accordingly. Plan and act. That’s our motto.
4. Your reader don’t care
Your readers care. Isn’t it the obvious reason why you write the contents in the first place so that readers read them? Like we said before don’t take your readers for granted. Yes, you might attract new users. But what about your old faithful readers? Give them valuable contents. Be polite while replying their comments.
5. Plagiarise others’ content
Plagiarising is a something you should avoid if you want to become a successful blogger. Bloggers don’t plagiarise others’ content. They read them, try to emulate them, write those contents in their own words. But they never plagiarised. Emulating your favorite writer and plagiarising their content is totally different.
These are the blogging myths one should avoid to become a blogger. It’s not just a myth, it’s a rule you should take as a consideration while writing contents. Don’t forget, your readers care.
Good Luck !!!
